【讲座简介】

The speech analyzes the study case of the French town of Lyon: it represents an archetypal situation of the quick process of transformation into creative city. The very success of Lyon city case is the reason why the conference will expose and explain the issues and the most important challenges to change the city’s image from old fashion and tradition into modernity and creativity, without breaking the continuity between both elements. In fact, Lyon is a good study case because: 1/ it is now the first of the three first French creative cities; 2/ the city is now the brand “ONLYLYON” to be sold and broadcast; 3/ the development of the city to become creative is now 15 years old and all the story-telling plan has proved successful. To understand all the lessons of Lyon case, first, we need to define what is a creative city to understand the goal of the process. Second, we need to analyze the major actors of this transformation and the strength of their alliance, “Aderly”. Third, we will expose the three strategy steps of Lyon during the fifteen years of the transformation process (2004-2018).
